Meet Shakira, a young Grey female we rescued from a bodega in Inwood, NYC. Shakira didn’t look great so we took her right to the vet. And it turns out she likely has a condition known as Ehlers Danios Syndrome. It is a genetic tissue disorder whose symptoms include loose joints and stretchy skin. There is no cure for the condition but she will be looking at osteoarthritis and possible joint issues as she gets older.
She is very gentle, very sweet, affectionate, noble, very humble, and quiet. Always looking for affection and likes to be petted. According to her foster mom, she makes bird chirping noise when she purrs. How cute is that!!?
Shakira is about 1 years old, spayed, FIV/FeLV, vaccinated and microchipped. She is looking for a forever home. Click here to adopt Shakira.
